New York DJ and producer Anthony Cardinale, better known by his alias Avision, has been on a steady incline in the techno scene for some time now, the past year being his biggest to date. His hard-hitting, no-nonsense brand of techno has earned him industry respect from such giants as Nicole Moudaber, Pan-Pot and Chris Liebing, to name just a few. He has graced the decks at countless New Yorks clubs, as well as festivals to the tune of Electric Zoo and Electric Daisy Carnival. And in 2017 alone, the 24-year old enjoyed releases on some major labels such as Carl Cox’s Intec and Victor Calderone’s Matter+ (he also shared the decks with Calderone at NYC’s In The Lab this past February).
Joining this noteworthy collection of labels is Carlo Lio’s On Edge Society, which hosts the release of Avision’s Clips EP, out today! A collection of four fresh, forward-thinking techno heaters, Clips has already seen play time from bossman Carlo Lio, Sam Paganini and many more.
1. Clips (Original Mix) 6:18
2. Dead And Gone (Original Mix) 6:18
3. Freshen Up (Original Mix) 8:38
4. Surround (Original Mix) 7:22
“Clips” starts out strong with its title track, a heart-pounding beat that grabs a hold of you and all but refuses to let you go. “Dead and Gone” is up next, a beautifully dynamic track which infuses Avision’s hard techno with more tangible melodic elements. “Freshen Up” shows off his diversity as a producer, with a joint that borrows elements from melodic house. Finally, “Surround” does exactly that – surrounds and immerses audiences in a sea of deep, dark and slightly dubby sounds. Clips is a fantastic showcase of Avision’s precision, expertise and pure passion for the world of techno.
Clips will be released on December 4, 2017 on On Edge Society.
