Jonathan Rosa’s Rework of The Weekend’s ‘Party Monster’ is Better than Great

Deep house and R&B are two of music’s sexiest genres, so when Toronto’s Jonathan Rosa remixes The Weeknd‘s “Party Monster,” we can’t help but feel a little seduced.

By slowing down the vocals and hastening the beat, Rosa manages to make what’s already a sinfully, provocative track even more alluring (but hey Abel, we still love you!). Seriously though, the hefty bass line and layers of reverberating effects will have just about any dance floor feelin’ that bump and grind.

Not only does this rework combine two sultry genres, it also brings together two prominent Canadian artists. When it comes to Toronto’s electronic scene, Rosa positions himself at the forefront of the underground. Often found playing alongside the world’s greatest talent as a resident DJ at CODA nightclub, he effortlessly captivates crowds with his deep, groovy sound. Abel Tesfaye aka The Weekend, is  King. The Canadian musician’s one-of-a-kind crooner-style vocals have further secured Canada’s position as a nation overflowing with musical talent.

And with Jonathan Rosa’s “Party Monster” remix, we’re definitely hearing that overflow of talent. Trust us: It’s good, it’s good, it’s great.
