No doubt, music unites us all. But when it brings us together for a common cause, then we can witness the higher potential and beauty of music! On Thursday, November 16, Canadian-based imprint No. 19 invites you to join them at Parlour for an evening of meaningful sound. The event aims to raise money and provide relief to those affected by the earthquakes and Hurricane Maria. The fall-out of these natural disasters have left Mexico City and Puerto Rico in a state of devastation.
While many find themselves in a place beyond repair, there is hope and together we can help rebuild these communities. These were the thoughts of No.19’s Co-Founder Jonny White [Art Department], after several of his shows were canceled due to the disasters. Although the circumstances are horrific, it also provides an opportune moment for the music community to give back.
Art Department, Nitin, Kenny Glasgow, Carlo Lio and Teeloo’s Kitchen will all be performing under the same roof in support of the cause. Joining this all-star line-up of Canadian talent will be Chef Devan Rajkumar (The Food Dudes / Bluebird / City TV), serving up mouth-watering food provided by Loco Fields Farm. Attendees will also be able to enter in a chance to win an original art piece created at the event by local artist Duro the Third, as well as a silent auction of one-of-a-kind works. No.19 will have original vinyl, CDs and label merchandise available for purchase. All proceeds from the event will go towards natural disaster relief for Mexico and Puerto Rico.
As capacity is limited, tickets will only be available for purchase at the door. Tickets will be sold for $25.00, with proceeds going to charity. If you are unable to attend the event, but would still like to show your support, No.19 invites you to do so by donating through their Go Fund Me campaign here. Doors open at 8:00 PM. See you there!
